the 3min trailer is ok, doesn't have the same cinematic effect as the HD one on apple.com
ordered the g. novel out of boredom today.

"Hah, Greg, you're terrible!"
Oh I dunno...
The LOTR trilogy?
"All creatures will DIE, and all things will be BROKEN: That is the law of the SAMURAI."
There's a good book about this called Gates of Fire by Pressman. At least I'm pretty sure that was the name.
The imagery is great (pulling structures and scenes straight from the pages of the GN), and if I had my way, every comic book movie would use the exact formula seen in this movie and Sin City (particularly The Hard Goodbye vignette).
I hope these Miller GN movies remain successful in hopes that a Dark Knight Returns adaptation can be made in the same style.
EDIT: I've watched a lot of recent movies, and there haven't been many that I've gotten excited over. Maybe it's because of all the remakes, sequels and (yes I know) adaptations this decade.

What I mean by "special" is "Will I still be talking about this movie 5 years from now?" I still get goose-bumps watching Alien. Fight Club is still relevant. Pulp Fiction is still cool.
Collateral? Kill Bill? Y tu? These are forgettable movies no one will be talking about after they've run their course on cable (probably not Kill Bill b/c it's Tarantino).
The LOTR franchise had a chance to do this but it's more of a tech demo. Good movies. Actually, part of what makes a movie "special" is if it will stand up over time. LOTR probably will. Good point.
I hope Garden State does this too.
Haven't seen Brick. I'll track it down.
2009 TNL Fantasy Football Champion
Brick is movie of the year for me. I watched it again earlier today.
Weatherman is seriously underrated and one of the better movies I have seen.
ps, Y tu Mama Tambien is 5 years old and you're talking about it right now lol.
Is Meach the one who posted those godawful movie reviews last year?
Time for a change
