the weinsteins were talking about splitting them up in the theaters due to the poor earnings, but i dont think people would pay to see them separately. they did however say they probably will be split for the dvd release
went for my weekly comic book shop trip (Zeus comics) and they had tons of these free movie cash passes for grindhouse that they were handing out. so check your local shops they may have some as well
hopefully i can check the flick out this afternoon
Why split them up for home release? (A) You know there will be a unified disc down the line, so relatively few would bother buying the crippled versions, and (B) the "people don't like sitting in a cinema seat for over three hours" justification for separate theatrical releases is irrelevant to a disc you watch at home.
Ehh, maybe they'll make a few extra bucks to make up for the box office bellyflop.

What I've heard is they're going to release "Grindhouse" as it was seen in theatres first, then do Special "Restored" Editions of both movies individually, without the artifical print damage and with the "missing reels" in place.
Anyway, now that I've finally seen it, I stand by 300. If you were to cut out Death Proof, you could make a case for the remainder being close to 300. 300 is hot sex; Grindhouse is hot sex followed immediately by a cold shower.
I've seen both movies again. Grindhouse shits all over 300. But they're both A movies.
