Three New Mexico Burger King employees are behind bars after allegedly adding marijuana to a hamburger, then serving it to a couple of local police officers. Along with the meat, cheese and condiments, the hamburger they ordered was spiked with pot.
It happened Sunday when the two officers drove up to a drive-through Burger King in Los Lunas, New Mexico. The officers tasted the pot right away and test confirmed presence of the drug. They went back to the restaurant and arrested three Burger King employees, including the manager.
All three have been charged with aggravated battery on an officer, which is a felony, and possession of marijuana. Both officers were checked out at a local hospital and released.
