XBLive Arcade = Place for shooters. I liked Robotron 64 a lot by the way. Gradius V is enough of a shooter to keep me busy for years, and there are enough old shooters out there for me to pick up for the next 10 years. Dodonpachi and the like, all the way down to 1943 and Squoon.

Devs are so hung up over graphics a lot of new shooters are ruined. 2d-3d is unnecessary. Contra stinks now. At least Metal Slug is still coming out.

We'll just have to deal with the lack of new shooters. there will always be a few coming out, there will be indie devs making new ones, and there are plenty of old ones still to master. I'm not in any way upset that new systems are exploring new gameplay ideas and taking advantage of updates in AI and shit to come up with amazing stuff. I forgot the end of this statement, but there it is. Enjoy new games, enjoy old games.
