A lot of my reasons to buy consoles seem kinda odd in retrospect. I don't know why I got THPS2 over Circle of the Moon at GBA launch. Oh well, I found them both to be good games.

PS2- I bought it when it came out in the USA because I thought I could play import Bemani games very easily. I was wrong. So I bought a Japanese system to fulfill my Bemani needs.

The only 2 that had that I REALLY NEED THEM NOW for me were,

Colecovision- Donkey Kong, This looked arcade perfect after playing that nasty looking 2600 version.

Genesis- Ghouls and Ghosts, I didn't even know this games existed until I was looking in a magazine at a Sega Genesis add that had pics of games available for the system across the bottom of the page. I saw something that I knew had to be a sequel to Ghosts and Goblins ( one of my all time favorites at the time) and I had to have that system!

I guess the Gameboy Color too. I needed that because it had a game called Montezuma's Return. I loved Motezuma's revenge on the Coleco(THE GAME that hooked me for life) so I had to have it.

Both the SNES and the N64 for the new Mario's. But I was getting them at launch day anyway.

Gamecube- When the Resident Evil series (and pics) were announced.
Genesis- Hands down, Sonic. I BEGGED to get a Genny for Christmas.
SNES-Never had one
PSX-never bought one, but switched my N64 for 2 weeks with a friend. Played FF 7 like it was my job.
N64- Mario 64
GameBoy- A portable Nintendo system!? Count me in! Tetris ruled
NES- Hard to remember. Prolly Super Mario
PS2- Hmmm...Twisted Metal Black. Then seeing GTA3 made me keep it.
DC- Soul Freaking Calibur. Sonic looked sweet too (still does!)

I was covering both yours, and Regus's post. I was saying to Regus, that Nights was'nt the only great game for the Saturn, and for Regus to say that the console was trash, without Nights, is like saying the PS2 is trash without Final Fantasy.
