It was not a good season. Not at all.
The ending was a pussified version of 3's without the crying. Instead of Jack breaking down, then getting back up and getting ready to kill again, he essentially sits there and silently emo whines until the timer hits 6:00:00.
therein lies the beauty. some love it, some hate it. I personally think there has never been a "bad" season of 24. still the best show on tv.

I agree, and while the second half wasn't AS good, it was still enjoyable. To say it sucked completely is a drastic overstatement. Most shows would kill for plotlines as good as 24's.
maybe that can be the focus of next season.

I fucking dreaded every new episode of the second half.
The first half was amazing, the bomb episode is still one of the best episodes of 24 ever, but it was all downhill from there.
