I checked out the Wii with J-Dub tonight.

If you turn the "wheel" too much the game thinks you are steering 100% in the opposite direction.

I will only say this: maybe not the right game to debut the system to the world.

Wii Sports should be on display.

BTW, despite being hooked up to a relatively decent display, the game seemed to be running through an RF adapter. The game is definitely no looker (car model seemed OK, but the enivronment was definitely worse than some Xbox launch window/2nd gen racers), but this made it worse. Of course, if those really were component cables...wow

From what I played it was a solid 7. Controlled okay, looked nice(motion blur up the ass) but it was really the wrong game to showcase the wii.

Thats what the gf said. SHe was like.."wheres the Wii Sports?". Can the employees pop it in? I was like, its up to the Nintendo Rep. The game store doesnt have shit.

Damn, while I was there, I could of taken a picture of the back of the Wii with the two plugs that were connected to it. I dont think that would of dont anything though. The plug still had a "PAT. PEND" on it.

Because I played the Wii. I can post. I will say as a POINTING device, it may be good. But as an input device for a racing game...it sucks ass through a straw. It's poor. It's not cheaply made, but it's poor.

I guess thats why UBISOFT is coming out with that steering wheel attachment.

I guess its an age difference (or TNL) thing. Most gamers I know also hate orchestrated music. I would have enjoyed DQ8 if the score had been midi and its a shame that music can ruin an otherwise good game. I'm sure orchestrated scores is a passing thing, which we can all have a good laugh about in the future. There is no point in discussing this matter further.

Joust is just pissing for the sake of pissing, just like he has done in every other Wii thread. It wouldn't matter if the game was ExciteTruck, Wii Sports, Zelda or Trauma Center it would have looked like shit and controlled like ass.

You can't just suddenly take his opinion seriously after he has proven time and time again that he's full of it.

I hear you, but surely his cummulative efforts to derail all Wii threads breaks some kind of rule.

I got a red card, mistakenly, for posting three off-topic remarks in a row, yet Joust has posted 200 irrelevant trolling remarks in a row. Is there no limit to that?

The only reason this thread exists is because Joust derailed the old Wii thread so badly it fell apart and cka closed it. Why should he be allowed to do that again?
