Has there been anyone to confirm the assload of Wiis for the US that NOA has said they'd have? I mean to say, there's no reason to be subjected to a bundle when you can easily get one system by itself a week or two after launch with ease if you can.

The Quote is 4 million world wide by Christmas (or end of December). NA is supposed to get the largest chunk of that, the only numbers that have come out is that Japan is getting 400K for launch and again the American launch is supposed to be much more than that. I have to imagine if you can't walk in and get one on day one that in the following weeks you can. They're supposed to be shipping between 100 - 150k to each territory each week after launch. If they're shipping that many and you still can't get one then holy shit is the wii doing well

Well considering the fact that the DS Lite is still a bitch to find everywhere in this country, I'm not getting my hopes up that I'll be able to get one.

I have yet to see a shortage of DS lites. I find them everywhere in pink, white, and black.

For bbobb, "this country" means Japan. Nintendo really should consider syphoning off a few hundred thousand from here and sending them overseas. A shortage of product in one territory matched by a surplus in another is just plain bad distribution.

I'm awesome at dealing with EB sales peoples, I just repeat "no" to anything they say unless their hand is out, in which case I get out my card and say "savings please".

Make sure that sticks because hasn't EB/GS taken pre-orders before only to tell those who did so that they now have to get the bundle?

Dont worry, I use to work for EB/GameStop. I know their tactics such as offering GameDoctors, warranties and what nots.

Game Doctors! I remember those things, they sucked. I never could get a straight answer on why they were being pushed so hard, either. I just assumed it involved truckloads of hookers for the corporate offices.

Had to have been. Those things were incredible shit when most game stores at the time had the professional resurfacers.
