Looks great. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 has a white case, however it's old, so I need to find something better.

I ordered my cables from Nintendo. I really don't like buying 3rd party accessories.

Same I ordered mine from Nintendo's online store, I really only like buying first party cables as well because all the 3rd party ones I've bought have had problems or are not nearly as good, including Monster Cable's expensive ones imo

Just sucks to have to use composite after waiting all this time for the Wii and Zelda, I haven't used composite cables since I upgraded my TV back in 1991 when I went S-Video (other than systems that only use composite cables); and it's not like only a few Wii titles can run in 480p from what I read I think all of them can which makes me wonder why these cables we're put on such a low priority

I'm not playing Zelda without component cables. Do you think the Japanese version will work? I won't have a system until next month anyway.

they'll work just fine I'm waiting to see what happens with the guy bandit knows if that doesn't pan out then I'll have to order them from play asia myself as well

I don't see why the Japanese cables wouldn't work with the Domestic Wii system, but those are coming out around the same time as the USA ones so we still can't get them any sooner

It really surprised me that the component cables for the Wii didn't come out when the system launched, not so much by Nintendo (they always drop the ball on limited system accessory availabilty) but more so 3rd party cable makers.

I mean if anyone of them was able to come out with a set of component cables for the Wii at launch I think they could've cleaned up on sales seeing Nintendo's weren't coming out for almost another 3 weeks after launch I'm sure quite a few would've sold even to those like me who only really like to buy first party peripherals just to have them now.

there were 3rd party cables available, React, and 2 or 3 other companies had them out. Just retailers like BB, and others only ordered like 5 of them for launch. And good old Gamestop in their wisdom didn't bother with any 3rd party brands.

Has anyone else had sound issues with the Wii? Certain types of sound (like that choral bit when you put the Zelda disc in) are incredibly fuzzy. I'm using the standard RCA cables, but none of my other consoles have this problem. It doesn't matter what I hook it up to, either - I get the fuzziness through my TV speakers and through headphones attached (via an adapter) to the cables.

Can someone plz confirm that the wii system updates go extremely slow? After it recognized the access point it timed out twice, than finally after 20 minutes it finished, asked me for my country and started updating again...and the bar hasn't moved at all. If I knew this I probably would have just started playing the games.

That's an issue with the wireless connection. I've read about a fix on GAF: Log into your router's config page and change the wireless channel to 1 or 11.

Oddly enough, this helped about 6 or 7 people in their official Wii thread, so I figured I'd post it here.

Like epmode said change your wireless channel, since most routers by default are set to 6, if you're in an area with other routers there is going to be alot of noise and interference which seems to effect the Wii more so than say your computer (most likely since the antennas on the wii are quite small, a fraction of the size of the antennas on your PC) so by changing it to a channel with less noise and shit going on it will make a huge difference.
