sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. but damn it, why couldn't this have online multiplayer?

  2. Is the Wii region encoded?
    Boo, Hiss.

  3. Man Wii Boxing is a blast once you get the hang of it.

Also the training and fitness modes are a lot of fun. Knocking down over 100 pins at a time in bowling is ridiculous

    According to Nintendo, yes.

It's Nintendo. Give them 2 years. Internet-based gaming might be profitable by then.

  6. I've got a question about the VC -- if we start going crazy downloading all our favorite games on the system, which is limited to 2000+ blocks; how would we go about getting additional space?

This is another reason for the Wii to go eat a dick.

I just finished asking about this on the Gamefaqs Wii hardware thread. One person said he was able to store Mario 64 on his SD card. But when he tried a Genny title (Sonic), it wouldn't transfer to the card unlike the N64 game.

Whatever the case is, Nintendo's solution to this is once you download a VC game, you can delete it (if cramped for space) then download it again later for free if you are using the same system. Very strange accomodation if true and it detracts from the much touted "convenience" of 'having all your games in one place.' This makes even less sense considering that VC roms are coded so they will only play on the Wii you own anyways.

I thought much of the purpose of adding SD card support in the first place was so people who were willing to download large amounts of VC games would be covered. But whatever, that's classic Nintendo inconsistency for ya. I also forsee calls to Nintendo tech service over annoyed people who deleted a VC game then months later tried to re-download it for free only to encounter a hitch.
