Thread: Shonen Jump Ultimate Stars DS

  1. Shonen Jump Ultimate Stars DS

The official Japanese website for Shonen Jump Ultimate Stars was launched, and the sequel will have Wi-Fi connection. Expect characters from Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, Ultimate Muscle, Yu Yu Hakusho, Bobobo Bobo Bobo, and other series you haven't read (if you live in Outworld).

Anyone planning on getting this? I wasn't too interested in the first one, but a Wi-Fi Smash Bros-type game might convince me to import the sequel.
    R.I.P. Paragon Studios

  2. The first game was awesome. Cripes.

This one'll also be assume, assuming things aren't overcomplicated.

  3. The first game was digital crack. Wi-fi play = day one.

  4. Theres enough amine fchans for this to be translated in english aint it?? I hated that the first one was jap only.

Licensing issues will forever leave this series in Japan.

Edit: The the first game was not too hard to play. There are plenty of faqs available in the usual places.

Same with Super Robot Wars, non-OG.

    Exactly.

  9. I'm interested in this. How close did the first one play to Smash Bros?

  10. Fairly close. You pick an entire screen's worth of charactrs instead of just one, and some of them are support characters. There's also two strength's of normal/special attacks and a super attack button that uses a stock of a special bar.

...but it seems like they're fiddling with the system and making it more complicated now. I can't accound as much for the new one.
