Captain America FTW.
I pretty much agree with your list, save that I would have put Daredevil last. It was good, but weaker than Batman and the others.
The first Conan film was indeed the shiznit (Wal-Mart has the collector's two-pack for $10!).
My personal favorites:
1.) The Crow. Best ever, IMHO
2.) Spiderman/Spiderman 2. Faithful, if not as dark as I would've liked. Still among the top 10 (both).
3.) Batman. Michael Keaton, dark, human and tortured.
4.) Superman. Original Christopher Reeves flick > Superman Returns
5.) Conan The Barbarian. Sure, Arnie said very few lines, but so did Conan.
6.) Daredevil. Perhaps my personal weakest in the top 10, but I loved it.
7.) X-Men, X-Men 2. Similar in quality. The third was complete crap.
8.) Batman Begins. Bale made a good Batman. Fuck Val Kilmer and Clooney and Keaton's 2nd attempt wasn't as good as this.
9.) Superman Returns. The kid ruined this for me. I dunno.
10.) Sin City.
Feel free to point out glaring omissions, faulty choices, and other. Growing up, the Hulk and Conan were my two favorite books with X-Men bringing up the rear. The Hulk was changed too much from the original comic to warrant inclusion here. Superman II was decent, 3 & 4 were complete trash.
Sin City and Batman Begins are the best adaptations. Best film is a matter of opinion, but definitely the most true to their source.
Red sonja makes me LOL!! with the inclusion of "Short-round" in the cast.
"Your soul better belong to Jesus, mmm-mmmmm..... cause your ass belongs to me!"
The recent-ish Punisher is the best.
Then again, I love "bad" movies, and it doesn't get much worse than that one.![]()
I liked punisher too. I woulda put Sin City Closer to the top i haven seen crow in years but i remember it was awesome when i saw it.
