I have a 24" BenQ FP241W monitor. The aspect ratio is actually 16:10; the picture doesn't look distorted in any way, but I didn't notice the 360 doing any letterboxing. I can look again when I get home, but really, once Gears of War comes on that screen, I am amazed all over again.Originally Posted by StriderKyo

I found the stretching to be just enough to annoy me. Anything that's supposed to be circular is distorted. 1280x768 is almost 16:10 but off enough to keep my 360 hooked up to my TV and not my monitor.
Hopefully we'll see a proper 16:10 display mode in a future update.
I heard you can send the monitor back to have a firmware update applied. I'm going to hook up my PS2 this weekend and decide then if I'm shipping the monitor back for the fix. For all I know, mine is already fixed, because I've played through several hours of Gears of War with no complaints.

hope so, 16:10 display modes & the refined processor design are the two things I'm waiting for now, even if the 16:10 display modes are just 16:9 with some letterboxing action...
