Question the second. Cowdisease, did you make your sig at livecard.net? And, if so, how did you make it public? In other words, I can put my name in your card (http://my.livecard.net/18054/vs%20Kevin.png) but I can't put your name in my card (http://my.livecard.net/40493/cowdisease.png). Are there a list of public ones anywhere?

My gamercard sig is a public one, so you can insert any gamertag in the url to use it.

I don't know the process of making a gamertag public on livecard.net, but I'm sure the website has instructions.

I also don't know where you can find a list of public signatures, so you'll have to dig around livecard.net as well. I only used the GoW sig because someone else on TNL had it and I liked it.

Love how my 360 fucked up my MLB 2k7 disc. It has scratches all over now and I get unreadable disc errors. Its too late to bring back the game too. What a god damn joke. How is it possible that the 360 disc drive fucks up a game?? I do leave the disc when I shut it off since I'm not playing anything else. I am so damn angry now.

That sucks, man. I only ever had that happen once about 9 years ago with my PC-DVD and a $15 copy of Fargo. I was so pissed then; can't imagine a $60 disc.

Unless you lock it down (a specific checkbox) they're all public.



It might not have loaded for you since the Livecard servers often get hammered and don't display anything (or so it appears to me), but yours is definately public.

Thanks. The default is actually private, but I found the option to turn it public. Which it is now, obviously.

I didn't really care about making the Batman one public, but I wanted to make one for the girlfriend without having to figure out how to register her gamer tag.

Well, they were off. Fortunately for Microsoft investors, they were off in a good way.

Today, the software giant announced that it has reached 6 million Xbox Live subscribers well ahead of schedule and released a list of various statistics touting its success in the gaming market.

Among the highlights:

--10 million Xbox 360s have hit stores across 37 countries
--Xbox 360 software attach rate (games sold per console) is 4.6 in the US; accessory attach rate stands at 2.9
--2.3 billion hours (260,000 years) have been logged on Xbox Live since its debut in November 2002; Halo 2 leads all games with 710 million hours
--Average Gold level XBL subscriber has 22 friends on their friends list
--more than 2 million text and voice messages are sent over Xbox Live on an average day
--almost 300 million achievements have been unlocked for a total Gamerscore of almost 7.5 billion
--XBL Arcade downloads have topped 25 million; Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting, Bankshot Billiards, Marble Blast Ultra, UNO, DOOM are the top downloaded games, in that order

..and before anyones asks..I do not move the console around nor do I put it in the vertical position. I am at a loss as to how this could happen.

I got an unreadable disc error last night in the 9th inning of a game I was winning 15-2. I checked the disc (no scratches), rebooted, and since then it's worked fine. This is my first disc read error on my current 360, I hope this isn't the beginning of the end. Microsoft needs to address the 360 failure rate with the upcoming hardware revision or I'll be forced to take another look at the PS3 (I've heard the build quality is light-years beyond PS1 and PS2).
