It's completely ridiculous how good you can make this game look with mods.
I almost feel ashamed for playing it on 360 first.

go to the tesnexus, and use the search engine, you will find a LOT of good stuff there, you will have to register for mods over 2 mb, but its free and they dont mail(thankfully, i hate registering) thankfully they fixed the broken body models, exnem/bab/emshe's are good for women, roberts is the general one for me. lera and piz bring over a lot of japanese ones if you are into the f-channery.
i personally love animation mods, there are personality idles which make people look a lot more realistic and can be influenced bu fame/infamy and gender when you engage in conversations, and my personal favorite is ketersepheroths hand to hand animation replacer, the usual animations are pretty ugly, keter replaced it with martial arts animations, much better if you are going to use to hand to hand.

Serious answer: think about as long as two of the normal guilds. Of course there's also tons of optional shit you can do for the residents.
