    I'm sure its a great place, its just unfortunate that Columbia is largely associated with drug production and whatnot.

    It might be different since you have family there, but I was always heard that Colombia isn't really a safe place to visit. I've actually heard to avoid Colombia if you're planning a trip to South American. Correct me if I'm wrong.
