This argument is senseless and a waste of time. It's like arguing that buying CD's or mp3's is stupid in the music thread because you can just download whatever you want illegally. The bottom line is that tons of people don't want to bother with the hassle of illegal roms and/or enjoy paying for what they consume.

If you want enhancements on VC games then stop buying unenhanced VC games.

Actually it's arguing that I like buying CDs for $9.99 and not $17.99 like you'd find at a specialist store.

No one is saying that VC games should be free, but if these things are going to be $5-10, we need to see effort put into it other than Nintendo running an emulator and ROM on your TV.

No, it's not. The argument people are making is "Why should I pay $5-10 for what I can get for free?" There is no download service that offers Mario 64 legally for cheaper than $10, and the same goes for most of the other VC games.

Then "we" need to stop paying $5-10 for roms and emulators. It's silly to cry about the poor service "we" are getting as "we" keep paying for it.

My argument is that it is too expensive. I don't care about what some stupid cunt is saying about free stuff.
