Find me a system with the specs of a Mac Pro for much less. And, again, Macs really aren't so proprietary. Especially these days. I mean, you can upgrade the processor, run Windows, upgrade ram and video card. Wtf else do you want?

Macs carved a niche out precisely because they are overpriced (so uneducated consumers think they are getting a better machine because of higher price). That's how they get started, at least that's what my econ professor told us.
