  2. I've always been told they were Christian metal and I really can't understand the lyrics. Don't laugh pls.

But, who can deny the awesomeness of Stryper?

  3. Blind Guardian are only Christian if Gandalf is Jesus.
    o_O

  4. How about Winger Razor?

  5. Christian doom metal is the best. By best I mean best concept, because there are no good Christian doom bands. Or Christian bands.

you're playing a huge gag on me and the rest of tnl, aren't you?

  7. I used to know this kid in High School who listened to nothing but Christain rock bands like Stryper. I mean, he listened to nothing but that shit. I remember that one of his band's albums included an extra copy of the CD to give to a friend to help "spread the message." Of course, he gave it to me. Swell.

The great part was that while this kid was literally Ned Flanders, his brother was the biggest dirtbag druggie in the entire school. You couldn't have two siblings further apart from each other.

I doubt that the band's primary songwriters are truly Christian, but they certainly express a Christian sense of morality and martyrdom in more than a few of their songs. However, as Tracer implies, I think this is more due to the general influence of Christianity on Arthurian literature than a conscious attempt at infusing the band's personal religious values into the core of the music.
