How did Akiyama beat Belcher? I'm not exactly MMA expert man, but it seemed to me like Belcher was getting the better of him throughout rounds 2 and 3 pretty consistently.

Mir didn't seem to take his fight seriously at all.

I didn't end up getting to go to that trade show in Vegas we had Frank Mir appear at twice, but my business partner did and he said Mir was a pretty down to earth guy with everyone. He also said he talked shit about Lesnar the entire time, saying that Lesnar had the softest hands of anyone he's fought. And Nogeira the hardest. This was right after his win to Nogeira. If we had booked him a week later than we did his fee would have been almost triple what we initially payed. Kudos to him for not trying to renegotiate the deal, though, once he was a superstar again.

I don't know how anyone who is a fan of the sport can ever root for Brock Lesnar. The guy is always a disrespectful douche and he has no idea of what the word sportsmanship is.

I don't recall Brock Lesnar disrespecting anybody who didn't spend four straight months talking shit about him. He certainly didn't have anything bad to say about Couture before or after. Would I have bothered to say what he said after the Mir fight? No. But his assessment of Mir was certainly accurate and he was well within his rights to offer it publicly. Mir was the disrespectful one imo. Not only that but he is the biggest fucking CHARLATAN ever to be 'successful' in this sport. No offense Gooch but you'd have to be a goddamn fool to have watched his entire MMA career and then bet money on the guy thinking he's going to beat Brock Lesnar by anything other than disgusting luck. The guy has no amateur sports background whatsoever, no striking to speak of, his jiu jitsu is mediocre at best and the only big win in his entire career is against a one eyed man witha staph infection. Anyone thinking of taking Mir seriously needs to remember that he got pounded out by Pe de Pano. Pe de Pano...

I watched Akiyama/Belcher again directly after the show ended. I was initially shocked and felt Belcher got robbed. After rewatching I see Akiyama winning all three rounds.

What he said or did to Mir didn't bother me. The fact that he's a drooling, screaming retard that totally could have fucked up any relations with the UFC's biggest mainstream sponsor is what bothered me. They're trying to show they're a legitimate sport and he pulls this McMahon crap. Of course Dana is just as bad because I'm sure while he was apologizing to everybody for Lesnar he was laughing his ass off inside because he loves what the guy does.

Then Lesnar apologizes afterwards and says he got caught up in the moment and wants to sell tickets. I hate people that don't stick to their guns.
