I agree with PaCrappa on this. 1) Mir was the douchebag here, not Lesnar. Mir got what he deserved and please let's all be realistic, Mir has pretty much sucked more than he's ever been remotely good. 2) If Lesnar wins, continues to win, and opponents can't figure out a strategy or execute a strategy to legitimately beat him, more power to Lesnar and good job imo.

If crybabies want to pout and kick the dust because some WWE guy comes into the UFC and draws viewers and is winning, then maybe the UFC wasn't as high quality to begin with the way you maybe thought it was. OR, Brock Lesnar deserves to be there. Take your pick. He isn't some UFC savior, but he sure isn't the fucking devil you guys make him out to be. A heel? Yes. So what.

And since BROCK LESNAR RULES let us all remember the time where Mir got booed when they mentioned his knee was jacked and the fight was postponed and then when they took the mic over to Brock he said to shut up because everybody gets injured and Mir is a class athlete and as long as the fight was still on nobody should complain and then everybody cheered and then every time any media outlet put a mic in Mir's face he disparaged Lesnar as much as he could for months and months. NEVER FORGET! This is the important part.

The guy fights good. I like watching fights. If I need to get enjoyment from somebody talking I'll throw on a Bill Cosby record.

This is where I'm trying to make a point. No doubt the guy has skills. Anybody fighting at that level has to. But, if you take away all of that mass, would he be anywhere nearly as effective? I didn't see last nights match, just the end result, but from his other fights all I saw was a guy dominating because he's a fucking rhino, not because he's actually a better fighter than the other guy.

The fact that he's a drooling, screaming retard that totally could have fucked up any relations with the UFC's biggest mainstream sponsor is what bothered me. They're trying to show they're a legitimate sport and he pulls this McMahon crap. Of course Dana is just as bad because I'm sure while he was apologizing to everybody for Lesnar he was laughing his ass off inside because he loves what the guy does.

Then Lesnar apologizes afterwards and says he got caught up in the moment and wants to sell tickets. I hate people that don't stick to their guns.

It's a raw sport where you really do lay it on the line; getting into a ring where they close and lock your only way out...it takes some big ones to do that, and I definitely give guys a lot of leeway in terms of post-fight celebrations.

Is it any wonder we see guys cry after losing? Scream in exultation with a win? No.

However.

We see, time after time, that guys can calm themselves and treat their opponent with respect following a loss (or win). Shamrock/Ortiz; Shamrock/Diaz; etc.

No excuse for flipping off the crowd, drooling and screaming like a Neanderthal, and acting like an idiot.

Contrast Lesnar with GSP, or Hendo. Act like you've been there b/4, imo.

I'm pretty sure the people who enjoy Brock Lesnar understood that it was the people who were taking the time to boo loudly who were being flipped off. Chuck Liddell screams like a neanderthal. Andrei Arlovski ran around screaming with a six inch booger hanging out of his nose one time.

I have my own personal standard of sportsmanship and it is in line with the names you just mentioned. Except Dan Henderson. That guy says douchey shit after plenty of fights. He may not raise his voice but he says lame shit just the same.

Anyhow, neither Hendo nor Lesnar has to toe the line by my standard of sportsmanship in order for me to recognize and enjoy their talent. If I thought Mir was talented I'd have little problem with his dumb remarks as well. Same as Bisping. If I thought he was half as talented as he's cranked up to be I wouldn't have enjoyed Henderson's extra punch (sportsmanship anyone?) as much as I did. That was great.

I don't recall Brock Lesnar disrespecting anybody who didn't spend four straight months talking shit about him. He certainly didn't have anything bad to say about Couture before or after.

He was on an interview up here in Canada with Couture (it may have been a rerun of an American press junket interview before the fight) and he actually seemed very respectful of his Couture - of his ability and his history.
