no. he said that on that night Serra was the better man.

I agree that a decision fight can be as exciting as a good knockout/submission, but the overwhelming majority of them tend not to be. I think the judging criteria of UFC make boring decisions even more likely.

As well, Josh Koscheck makes decisions boring. I think when a wrestler is involved, a three round decision is the worst possible scenario for the audience.

this is absurd. it takes two to make a fight boring and with the shit Diego tried to start at weigh-in's i hold him more accountable (which even though i had no respect for him before, i have negative respect for him now). he landed what? 1 punch the whole 3 rounds? true Koscheck didn't bring his excitment game, because he didn't have to. trust me (as if his last fights weren't enough) he has the ability to be exciting. i watched him all 4 years collegiate wrestle when we were both at the Boro and he made that sport exciting.

i've also heard Tito is supposed to fight Rashad? any truth to this?

I can get behind that. I fucking hate the overwhelming majority of wrestlers in MMA. Laying in someone's guard and throwing the occasional weak punch or elbow is not fighting. A lot of them seem to think that the goal of MMA is to dry hump your opponent as much as possible.

I don't think the judging criteria is as responsible for boring decisions nearly as much as the cage. The cage is a wrestler's best friend. To begin with it makes takedowns easier. But even worse, being mashed up against the fence makes working off your back for subs and sweeps a whole shitload more difficult. In Pride when guys get too near the ropes the fight is reset in the middle, where guys with good jiu jitsu actually have a chance to use their skills. I really don't like the cage.

It's not absurd. Kos is a boring motherfucker. I really don't give a shit what he did as a wrestler. MMA is not wrestling. I admit he has a ton of talent but that doesn't make him any less boring. He has had one fight where I thought he might be turning it around (vs. Goulet) but he's regressed since then. I don't want to see him fight anymore.

They're supposed to fight at UFC 71 or 72.

the dana/tito "boxing match" is on Spike tonight at 11 btw. i predict it to be really queer. they hype it up like they have a legitimate bad streak between them. like dole says, it's almost as bad as the WWE. we're supposed to forget that Dana talked up Tito his last couple fights "yeah he fucked me over by not fighting Liddel the first time but he's grown up....yadda yadda" and that if Dana legitimately didn't like him he wouldn't feature him so much in marketing?

this is like some johnny come lately McMahon/Austin shit.
