so nobody has really commented on the main event. were we just all lulled to sleep the same?

what im wondering is the unification thing. obviously Henderson loses the belt, but he still has the one from the other weight class. so does the new 205 champ bounce between Pride and UFC shows or fight strictly on UFC shows? if a Pride guy would win it back are they then "signed" by the UFC? is there a 205 division anymore in Pride (since there is no belt, what would be the point?) this half merger shit and fucking with the belts for "dream matches" is confusing and retarded.

and this matches outcome is just like another one from the last ppv (cant remember offhand which). the judges should be fired for being so inept. i don't care is Bisping pushed the pace more in the third, he did NOTHING the first 2/3's of the fight. just because he was swinging at the end we take away 2/3 of a win from the guy that should have won? i'm sorry the points are in place for a reason and if the numbers Konketsu put down are real, i have no idea how the UFC can release a statement defending the decision.

i just lost a ton of respect for the company as a whole last night. it's almost as bad as wrestling, where they push who they want to. the numbers don't even add up to a Bisping win, then Rogan says NOTHING negative about it while Bisping rambles on about outboxing him and being a smartass (although his face told a different tale). i'm sure they'll use this as backstory for a Bisping/Hammil 2.

Edit: I'm sure if Dana had anything to do with it the fight would've been rigged to make sure Hammill won. During TUF they were pushing him like he had the potential to become the greatest fighter of all time. Plus he's deaf, which makes for awesome press.

Edit: Of course Hammill got screwed, but at the same time they constantly talk about how you can't leave the fight in the judge's hands. Most of the time they're forced to use boxing judges that don't give a flying fuck about MMA, and they know a lot of the decisions are horrible. But there's nothing they can really do about it if they want to continue to hold events in the US. The judges gave a hometown decision to Bisping (which has happened in boxing for a hundred years, even when the sport was repectable) and the UFC had nothing to do with it. If you're fighting a British guy in England you need to finish the fight. Sucks but that's the way it is.

Elbows to the head were illegal altogether. Elbows tend to lead to cut finishes and Pride wanted as few cuts ending fights as possible.

Joe HAS come out on numerous occasions saying things to fighters stuff to the effect of "despite a pretty non-pressure match, are you happy with the win? the crowd boos have to be telling you something."

I follow UFC, but I don't know enough about it to really comment on it, so I generally stay out of the thread for fear I might come in and say something like:

so on the hype up show last night they showed Rampage training and he was rather laid back and worry free about it. every time i have seen them focus on training like this the fighter loses.
