So I'm watching tonights TUF, it's about 2/3 over and Hughes just tried to calm down a house situation in the worst way possible.. he is such a bad coach. It's hard to imagine this turning out well.
Sylvia could probably KO anyone... too bad he spends most of his time walking backward or laying on people passively.
look here, upon a sig graveyard.

Yeah, pretty shitty coach.
"That wasn't the gameplan..." b/s after his guy, who's obviously not 100% there mentally considering his family situation, loses. Not to mention that I didn't think that Paul was trying to bang w/the Hawaiian. He took him down, was doing ok, and then the Hawaiian stood up. "That wasn't the gameplan."
Yeah, way to show up your fighter, Coach, and put all the blame on him. Classy.
Contrast that behavior w/Serra's who was constantly, precisely telling the Hawaiian what to do. "Don't put your hand on the floor...put it on his shoulder!" And the dude does it. Good coaching to tell him specifics.
And notice how Serra talked up Paul after the loss, encouraging him to bounce back. Love it!
<3 Serra
Hughes? Egomaniac.
2009 TNL Fantasy Football Champion
Anyone who that says Serra is annoying during the fights with his screaming and coaching has never competed at a sport where you are out there on your own without a team to support you.
Hearing somebody like Serra shouting his ass off giving you instructions, even simple stuff like "remember to breath 'nemo!" helps a helluva lot more than you realize.
Was a crazy knockout and that kid really did seem like he was gunshy about getting hit.
Mac is a dick too IMO. Sure that Bowman kid blows and has no experience and realistically isn't the same caliber as many of the people there...
But it's also a reality show and they toss people like that in to mix it up.
Not to mention everyone, EVERYONE started out somewhere. Sometimes it's hard to remember that you at one time were the spazz who didn't know how to do anything either.
lol @ hughes team, I feel bad for his guys though
IAWTP. When my model girlfriend is out there alone on the runway, I stand up and start cheering and coaching her on. Everyone looks at me like "yo, what the fuck is he yellin'", but I don't give a fuck 'cause I keep bailin'.
Anyone think Franklin can win this rematch? I find it hard to see Spider losing, or not winning convincingly for that matter, but the recent trend of upsets has me thinking otherwise. Against all logic and reason, I will be going with Franklin.
i would LOVE to see him back on top and "supposedly" he was injured or sick the last fight.
I hope he gets his ass kicked again. Not that I dislike the guy, I just hate the post fight excuse of being sick/hurt. I know it's common and real, but take your beating like a man. So I hope his pre fight interviews all say "I'm 100% this time and I want revenge" and then he loses.
Hughes seemed like a pretty damn good coach in Season 2. I don't know what the hell happened to him. Creative editing during season 2 maybe?
Vera's small for a heavyweight. 6'2" 220 or so. He could easily fight as a light heavy. I will be rooting for Vera but I think Sylvia's just too fucking big for him.
Yeah, ever since I saw him cornering Shonie Carter on TUF I was impressed. His advice always seems to be spot on on the ground. Sure, he's really loud and annoying but you need that to hear him when the adrenaline is pumping, a bunch of guys are screaming advice that may or may not be useful (not to mention in a real MMA match the crowd will be even louder), and you're getting punched in the face.
Serra is an awesome corner man.
