    The fact that you would even compare NMH to Gears of War or BioShock, let alone say that it's better than both combined pretty much invalidates everything else without me even having to address it.
    Well, thats actually great to hear. I didn't realize you held those high opinions of Resident Evil 4 and Mario Galaxy. At least I know now that you're getting some kind of value for the money you spent on the system. However,it does seem like there are only about 5 people MAX on this message board that actually give Wii games a legitimate shot before they write them off as crap.

    As far as my comments on Gears of War and Bioshock are concerened, if I may clarify them, of course NMH is nowhere close to the TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENTS made by Bioshock and Gears of War. However, gameplay wise, I prefer No More Heroes to both of those games for various reasons. Gears of War becomes repetitive after a couple of levels, due to the fact that you do the same thing (duck behind walls, pop up, shoot, duck repeat) the whole entire game. Bioshock was a perfect example of trying to do TOO MUCH in one game and ultimately, FOR ME, it collapsed under its own hype and pursuit of greatness.

    So yeah, if I were to rate these games based on fun factor alone, which I said was my defining criteria for rating games that I play, I would say:

    Gears of War = 8/10
    Bioshock = 7/10
    NMH = 9/10

    This is just my opinion though, and I'm sure that it greatly differs from everyone elses opinion.

    Don't bother. You mentioned liking "fun." Unless you consider grinding and running along walls to see if they're false and contain items fun, you won't find it here.

    Lay off the defenses buddy, I wasn't shootin' for a Pulitzer with that post. I said exactly what I played and exactly what I felt about it.

  5. I'm going to give the game a shot sometime soon. I'm part of the negative crowd when it comes to Killer7, but the buzz on NMH has been positive enough that I'm willing to try it.

    You do realize that the reason I don't post about all the steaming piles of shit on the Wii or any other console is because it's not worth the effort, right? I mean, seriously, it's a big world out there and I just don't have enough hours in the day for this pointless negativity. You're obviously getting something out of it so good for you, I guess, but for the life of me I can't imagine what it is that makes you look for every possible bad thing you can find in everything you see.

    Excite Truck? Great game, it's a ton of fun and easily recommended. No More Heroes? Same thing. Chulip? Slow as grim death but wonderfully bizarre once you adjust yourself to its pace, although I'm acting on the assumption you'd hate it after the first 30 seconds here.

    You whine like a little bitch, and nothing's ever good enough if it doesn't meet your preconceived ideas of what "good" is.

    I don't have enough hours in the day for games that fail to meet standards and/or expectations, so I get pissed off when I give the wrong game a chance.

  8. Yeah, that's what I said, but also added that your standards are so invariable that you're incapable of learning. You can get through life just fine with a fossilized brain, but it's no where near as interesting as it otherwise would be.

    lol If my time were more variable, my standards would be too.

When I spend my $50, my satisfaction with my purchase usually boils down to one thing: Is this game anywhere close to being fun? Some of you are so caught up in thinking, "Is this the next greatest thing ever? Are the graphics better than anything on the 360 and PS3 so far?" In reality, not every game is going to be as great on the technical front as Bioshock and Gears of War. However, for my money, No More Heroes is a lot more FUN than both of those games combined and then some.

    The bottom line is, I've only played No More Heroes for 5 hours so far but its pretty fucking obvious that its the best game, thats not already based on an established franchise, on the Wii. I'd even go as far as saying that its better than the non-franchise games on the 360 and PS3 as well. No More Heroes is an excellent example of simplistic and addictive old school game play design that is intentionally wrapped up in a horrible looking (because GTA has always looked like shit...no matter what system its on) GTA hub area.

    Killer 7 = 7.5 out of 10
    No More Heroes = 9 out of 10
    and I haven't played Contact yet, so I can't comment.

    Also, forgive me for rehashing old arguments...BUT...Yoshi, just sell your fucking Wii already. Its obvious that you've bought into the whole TNL mentality, that the Wii is the biggest most horrible piece of shit ever, so much that you can't bring yourself to enjoy any game on the system. You nitpick every game to death so much, that its hard to imagine you getting any enjoyment out of the system. Why not sell the Wii to a little kid who actually might get some enjoyment out of it?

    EDIT - Also, I've played quite a bit of Devil May Cry 4 already, and so far it feels like its retreading old ground. How can some of you choose Devil May Cry 4 over a totally unique and compelling game play experience like No More Heroes? THEN, you same people turn around and talk crap about EA releasing the same shit over and over again....
    +1 rep

    MarkRyan: If you loved Killer 7 you should play past the tutorial of NMH, you'll probably enjoy it quite a bit.

    Yoshi: You're a jaded old black man, of course you hate this game.
