Was NMH that bad?

No Yoshi just likes to overreact to ever little thing like a woman who just had 10 consecutive periods with no break.

If Yoshi had the baby instead of his wife they'd have had to dig through 40 feet of dense sand before they could get that kid out.

I don't have time for 6-7/10 games. Sorry. I know you give a +2 to every Wii game to convince yourself they're worth playing, but some people don't.

Yoshi could not be more right about the repetition. I'd also like to submit that Tetris is a piece of shit because all you do is drop blocks over and over again, Ridge Racer sucks because it's just driving cars over and over again, and Half Life 2 is numbingly repetitive because you're just clicking on dudes over and over again.

Or is the real tragedy that someone who dumped hundreds of hours into World of Warcraft thinks his judgement of what's repetitive and what isn't holds any value at all?

WoW doesn't have piles of technical and design issues that it has to overcome with its repetitiveness. If NMH were a well made game, its gameplay might fly. You probably watch anime though, so the cliched dialog and bad writing wouldn't bother you.

Repetition is subjective, just like anything else. Some people couldn't stand Mass Effect's pacing, some people hated Assassin's Creed, and in this case, Yoshi can't stand No More Heroes. Hell, even I know that NMH is horribly repetitive, but the bosses and characters made it more than interesting enough for me to enjoy it. It's just his own personal tastes in relation to this game, so you guys shouldn't be taking it so damn seriously.

On the other side of the coin, Yoshi shouldn't be such an attention whore, but that's neither here nor there(if he didn't reply to every post with his name in it, he wouldn't have that high of a post count).

If people would stop playing whose is bigger with me, I wouldn't have so many posts with my name in them to which I could reply. Your point is definitely valid though. If NMH had a good story, good dialog, 2005 technology, etc., the gameplay could be acceptable to me.
