Great flick, turns in to Predator at one point.
The reviewers are a bunch of damn babies. "Oh, it's gory!" It's an action flick, waddaya want?
From what I can tell, it's extremely accurate from a cultural standpoint as well. Mel did his homework.

You don't understand, this movie completely redeems him.
When making his movies, Mel doesn't give a damn about religion, politics or Jews. He's concerned only with two things: making an adventure & freaking people the fuck out!

This movie was no where near as brutal as some people claim. Other than that, was kind of B movie material...

There was a Guat couple sitting in front of me with their 8 year old son. The kid insisted on running around the theater, and the couple talked throughout the movie. Holy shit if their ancestor's savagery in the movie wasn't enough for me to not like them, than that was.

revenge thriller
I love this film. I was pleasantly surprised with the direction Gibson took in the last third of the film.
Has everything you could ever want in an action movie. Definitely recommend this.
