And I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of these Castlevania and Megaman fans would much prefer a full-fledged console release to the portable versions. Which isn't going to happen, as you well know.

And that's bullshit. A 2D Mega Man or Castlevania would sell like crazy on a console. If Sony was the problem then put it on the 360 or Wii. No way Nintendo turns down big name Konami or Capcom franchises.

Mega Man hasn't made an impact on consoles since X4 despite there being quite a few more games since, and Castlevania has settled into its own niche. These aren't the early 90s, neither series is top-tier anymore. And when was the last time a non-fighter 2D game sold like crazy on consoles? Viewtiful Joe is pretty much the only one that comes to mind.

Flash forward to late 2008. I'd say MegaMan 9 did pretty darn well on console, even if it's DLC.

The manager helped her with it.
