I hear that the endgame is actually pretty extensive in this one. Almost longer than the main storyline and a lot more difficult if that's what you're looking for.
This game seems incredibly easy compared to any other Dragon Quest, which has me bummed out a bit. I may just have to drop my whole party and go solo. But the Multiplayer is fun and it's hilarious just going off and doing whatever you want completely away from the host.

just got back from a long play session with friends. we got a full party of warrior, mage, fighter and minstrel (my character). one friend has the boat so he took us out to some tough areas. we killed lots of gold men for money then went shopping. i got to buy better weapons and armor to bring back to my main game + find some stuff for alchemising. i'm about lvl 25 now and i'm not sure if i wanna change my main guy to a thief or warrior. DECISIONS!
I'm 25 hours in and still deeply in love (despite having my eyes opened to several how-in-god's-hell-did-this-make-it-past-the-design-stages interface issues I won't rant about since these seem to be a staple of everything I play nowadays).
Haven't been this addicted to a game in a good long while. Trying to get enough mini medals to afford the final piece of rabbit suit for Radishes.
This game is eating up all my play time. Finished Gleeba - thanks Gohan! Hit lvl 30 ish for all my characters, found the Paladin class and switched my main, hit lvl 19 and...whew! Now I'm trying to do the second Paladin quest, to kill Infernal Armors but have no idea where those guys are at.
I'm starting a new job that has a two hour train commute...I can see this getting a LOT of play on the trips.
Dammit Hero, I'll be up all night thinking about what's behind that spoiler block. I will resist, but I'm gonna be hurting.

OK I'm liking this a lot more than I expected I would.
I love the small nods to Diablo. <3 randomized dungeons + boss runs <3 Oh oh and the way you can finally see every item equipped on your dudes which isn't really Diablo but it's still rad <3<3<3
The quest system is nice too. I mean, a lot of them are typical MMO busywork but some force you to get clever with your class setup to even have a chance of completing them.
I only wish we weren't stuck with 5x5 pixel textures lol DS and oh god it REALLY needs an online mode lol Japan

Wait, random dungeons? I mean there's some random loot but what?
Also the class quest for the Armamentalist sucked.
