I was able to play this in an arcade a couple of weeks ago and I was fairly disappointed. Definitely not worth $300. I bought MS3 on Jap AES some time ago and it was worth it, but MS4 isn't nearly as good as X or 3. I'll wait for a reasonable priced port.

See, I was one of the only people bitching that the game didn't look good, and now that it's out and people have played it, it's now a fact: I was SO right. But what did you expect? It's NOT developed by SNK, and it's ALL recycled sprites! From everyone that I've talked to, there's not ONE new thing in the game! The main draw to each new sequel is the new bosses and Slugs. Even all the new Slugs are just old, reused enemy vehicles! Lazy-ass Korean developer...As far as I'm concerned, this series ended with 3, sadly...
Like EvilMog007, if the game has any redeeming value at all, I might just aquire it for...*ahem*...free. After all, why line the developer's pockets with money? They might actually think that we want this recycled crap! Maybe they might actually hire an animator or two for MS5...

After the Eulogy
Call me crazy, but I'd rather spend $300 on a game I'm sure I'll enjoy(recycled sprites or not) than spend $50 on 6 games which will only get cheaper as time goes on. Not to mention, I'd much rather show my support for a sidescrolling 2D action game(my favorite genre) than the same old stuff that always gets released.
I'll let you all know what I think whenever it arrives. I hope its better than most are making it out to be....
