I'd rather see how it is for myself...
Too bad that will quite possibly never happen...
I'm sticking with my opinion, but UndeadKing does make a good point. 2D side-scrollers are a dying breed...I suppose I should be happy that they're still getting released at all...even if the developers are lazy fucks and making a living off or SNK's hard work...

From what I played I was completely underwhelmed. Things like riding in the sidecar, taking on a giant blimp, riding on the back of a speeding truck- all cool ideas in theory. In the game they all end up fairly boring. Especially the first boss, what an absolute waste. You're taking on this huge blimp, but you only ever see the bottom of it. You blow up a couple of turrets and that's about it. They should have had you jump up and hang onto it while it flys back up into the air with some nice clouds flying by etc etc. Double machine guns is cool, but not when you can't shoot diagonally like with the normal machine gun. What the hell.
I have to say the ice/ snow art is all really well done. There's a part that reminds me a lot of the first game and part of Contra. And the stage 4 boss is pretty cool. The game has multiple paths, but it doesn't seem like anywhere near as much thought went into them as in MS3. Slowdown isn't too bad, but there isn't that much going on either. I'd play this one before you drop $300.
Oh yeah- if you live in the Bay Area, the Golfland in Sunnyvale has it. (or at least they did about a week and a half ago)
$300 for a single video game?!?!?!??!?!?
You have got to be out of your fucking mind if you spend that much cash on only one game.

It is crazy... but in reality, not too uncommon...
Why the sudden shock?

It's just hard for me to fathom spending this much money on only one game when there are much more important things to spend it on, like car payments, insurance, student loans, etc.Originally posted by Metal_Slug

But whatever, it's your money, do what you like.

But sometimes, you just gotta have it...
Good thing I never did buy MS3...

like I said before, why flush $300 down the shitter on an OK 20minute game when you could get it for free? When not spend $700 on an ok computer and get shitloads of games for free?

Well, I spent $250 on MS3 and I don't even regret it a little bit. This is AFTER I already downloaded the ROM and gave it a few plays for free. There is just something about playing the game in it's correct resolution on it's correct arcade monitor with it's correct arcade joystick that emulation just can't touch. Yes, that extra "something" is worth the money to me.Originally posted by EvilMog007

Oh, there's a lot more than 20 minutes worth of play in the MS games.![]()
