Am I the only one here that doesn't give a shit about any of these? Not to criticize anyone that does care--whatever floats your boat, and I know I'm in the minority here--but I seriously couldn't care less if my games have achievements or online play.

No I agree with you, personally I find achievements pointless, it's a my e-penis is bigger than yours bs. Much like you said I prefer organic rewards for fully completing a game or doing something amazing instead.

I don't see how you couldn't want online play. Achievements aren't a necessity, but online play is.

Because not every game NEEDS online play. For multiplayer games yeah I can see saying it needs to be there but what need is there for online in a single player game like Super Paper Mario?

It always amazes me how seriously people take this stuff. Would Excite Truck have been better with online play? Sure, so instead of being excellent value for the money it's merely good value. I mean sure, I play the "If only...!" game myself some times, back of hand pinned firmly to forehead and eyes cast despairingly skywards, but then I get over it and either enjoy what I've got or blow it off as too flawed to be worth the time. But I don't take it like the game fucked my mom, gave her a dollar, and asked for change.

is one of the best. games. ever. I know it's barely relevant, but there's not a non-VC game on either console i'd play over that game. Playing it on Live makes me jealous for Balloon Fight. I would kill (a steak) for Balloon Fight with online multiplayer and leaderboards. Freshness is overrated. Give me old games, and if they benefit, give me old games with onlineness. If i could somehow smash a Wii and a 360 together...
