  3. Left 4 Dead 1 is on sale at Steam right now... Should I bother or just spend the extra for Left 4 Dead 2?

  4. With all of these sales I think most are going to go to 2 now. The original campaigns will probably make their way over, either officially or through mods.

Damn this game is fun. New weapons and shit be damned, the reason why this game is worth it is that the levels are way better designed. I'm glad I spent 35 on it, worth 30-35 bucks. Now all y'all get the fuck on here tomorrow/much later

The first level has you trying to find your way out of a burning building. It's really hard to see and there's fire everywhere.

I still wish the levels would change way more every time you played them, like Diablo style, but that's probably too much to ask. The subtle tweaks in paths that they throw at you is cool enough for now. The levels also seem longer, and there are more varied objectives in them. Slightly. For example, the climax of level 1 is not just a big fight-the-horde-and-wait-for-rescue bit, but a scavenge bit where you have to gather 13 gas cans to fill up a car so you can escape in the car. You can't just camp out as the horde comes at you, you have to run around the whole level (preferably as a group) and gather the cans.
