• I have the willpower to continue to pass up a shiny but useless PS3.
• Live Anywhere supports Achievements in PC games.
• LucasArts' SCUMM games are released in packs for the DS.
• Mario Kart on the Wii supports online play woth voice chat for 8 players but not snaking.
• Metal Slug Anthology is released on the PS2 with d-pad support.
• No more classic series head to portables for their main platform.
• Resident Evil Wii will not be a cash run.
• Science fiction displaces fantasy as the MMO setting of choice.
• SNK makes a 2D fighter based in the Star Wars universe (this won't happen, but it's been on my list since about 1992).
• Sonic the Hedgehog is euthanized.
• Star Fox breaks its string of three consecutive shitty outings.
• Star Wars is released on HD-DVD, because I need to buy it for a 5th time.
• Square doesn't tarnish FFT or FFXII with their new, Matsuno-less titles.
• Street Fighter IV is released and is either so great or so awful that we are not left wanting Street Fighter V.
• Tom Brady is on the cover of Madden 2008 and Chunky Soup commercials.
• Virtual Console titles get online play and leaderboards.
• Wii regional lockouts are broken for retail and VC software.
• Wrestling games will include undetectable neuro-toxins just strong enough to kill the person who opens the case and anyone within the same room.

And DC3 themes. I don't know how they could top zombie lightning dinosaurs in space but I sure as hell hope they try.

...EA goes back to making games in the vein of Hot Pursuit, with exotic cars.
...PGR hits 07 and not 08.
...Duke Nukem Forever comes to 360 (lol).
...Resistance gets a port (lol).
...Sony comes out with a PSP+ with better controls.
...MS adopts a rule of "no paying for unlocks that are on the disc that you can only get through XBLM" or "no paid DLC for the first 45 days of a game's shelf life".
...People really take advantage of XNA.
...Nintendo does something worthwhile with the Wii or GTFO.

I completely agree with everything on that list, except for the DX10. Fuck getting a new PC if all I'm playing on it is WoW. But otherwise, top notch.

Amen to that. Granted, I would still probably give Starfox DS a 7 or 8. But both Starfox games on the GC were complete garbage. Why the hell did Nintendo abandon the on-rails formula that made Starfox and Starfox 64 so amazing? They could have still done a lot with that formula... and shit, it was fun to begin with. Everything that has come out after Starfox 64 has been shit in comparison...
