I think because I had no expectations that I enjoyed my viewing experience because I really didn't care. But from an actual real stand point, I now realise it does indeed suck.

I wonder if there is a real explanation for the fridge.

This movie was garbage and I say that, not because it didn't live up to the other 3, but because it fell so far short of them it was like watching an entirely different series. Too alien to fit in.

It was like watching a 40 year old woman, who was the hottest chick in the world 20 years ago, but now lacks any charm or talent and just comes across as sad, frightening and repulsive.

the lighting really bothered me the whole movie. it was like HDR and lightbloom every scene. especially outside the hangar for area 51. the sun was set yet they were lit up from all sides. then when they went underground at the end the area was illuminated yet the only source of light was from the single torch they were carrying.

a shit ton of "i have to suspend my belief" moments as well.

The underground-is-well-lit is pretty standard in these movies (check Last Crusade in the catacombs if you don't believe me), but yeah, the lightbloom/HDR thing was excessive. Sky Captain syndrome, again.

i guess the area 51 scene could be chalked up to artificial lighting but it didn't have that look. there were too many times i just said "wtf" and almost walked out. the ant pyramid, the refridgerator scene, the dart scene (last i checked they dont poison both sides). and Ox.......wtf. MOST ANNOYING CHARACTER EVER. i know there's a lot more but i pretty much blocked it out.
