He lost and retired. He's had lots of health issues so he said if he won the last fight he had he would have taken the title shot and then retired win or lose. Anyway, he was far from in shape that WWE would want then so no surprise he was not on Wrestlemania tonight. Speaking of Wrestlemania, that was probably the worst one ever.

  2. Oh no a wrestling fan saying something that just happened was the worst thing theyve ever seen? News at 11.

Overall Id give this years Mania it a B. Cena Rock was meh but U dertaker Triple H and Punk Jericho were both solid. Sheamus Bryan was obviously a gaff but both men are a part of history now.

Big Show and Cody and the divas were both heinous.

  3. The overall show was a C at best, and if it weren't for the 2 big matches it would be an F. The undercard was atrocious and they gave Maria Menunos fully 5 times longer TO CLIMB TO THE TOP ROPE than they gave Sheamus and Bryan to have a word title match. Punk/Jericho was just OK, Rock/Cena had some of the best crowd reactions of all time, and HHH/Taker was brutal and dramatic.

They really needed a MITB match on the undercard instead of Team Teddy vs Team Johnny, Rock should have put Cena over. It is best for business, Cena love him or hate him he's a company guy. Rock won't be around unless they have a match tonight or a rematch to tie it up at Extreme Rules.

If you see my posts you know I am not one of those fans. I loved the two Dragon Gate shows this weekend and felt ROH was lacking too. WWE just has been stale and everyone in my house agreed. Punk Jericho was the only good match and sadly my stream cut out multiple times during that one (official stream, not bootleg).

    This

EDIT: Let me elaborate some more... When guys like Punk, Low Ki, and Danielson came into the company I was happy... not because they were "internet darlings" but because it was something fresh for WWE. Their styles were different. There is something known as the "WWE Style" of wrestling which is a shame because not everyone in the company should have the same style. Now, granted there are differences from different guys, there isn't enough variety like you'd get elsewhere. I love wrestling of all kinds and that is part of what I love about wrestling is the variety that can be found... WWE is stale and needs a shake up. Sadly having people like Bourne get suspended isn't helping matters any.

I watched wrestling as a kid but "outgrew it." I got back in during the 90's and it wasn't because of the WWF and their "Attitude" it was because of WCW and ECW for the lucha libre style. It was something new and different to me and it was exciting again. As people were loving seeing Hogan, I hated it and just wanted to see more of the young exciting wrestlers and that's still how I feel today. Today DGUSA is those young exciting stars and I'm not excited to turn on WWE to see HHH and Undertaker or TNA to see Sting and Hogan.

  6. If you want luchadores then watch Mexican wrestling. There is a reason WWE has a certain "style". It works. People want to watch it when the people doing the wrestling have any talent at all at being entertaining.

  7. Who did Cena piss off that they're burying him so deep? The company's face gets beaten at WM by a guy who hasn't been in the ring for more than five years, and then he gets slammed by a guy who's been away for almost a decade.

Cena didn't piss anyone off he Main Evented the biggest show, got a huge payday. I'd hoped Rock would do the honors but I'm sure Cena was happy to just work with The Rock, as he is the biggest names in Wrestling and a legit Movie Star.

  9. Brock's back and judging by pics of him over the weekend, he's got some excess weight to shed around the midsection. Hopefully his workout routine involves a lot of hat kicking.

It was an example, thanks for being literal.

Anyway, the crowd tonight was proof that a hot crowd can really make a show. I thought this was a great RAW, best one I had seen in a while as it really started getting the gears going in different directions for the future of the company. The "new season" or whatever you want to call it could be interesting with a couple returns (obviously one way better than the other) and a mixup in some feuds. Let's hope those FCW guys get called up soon too. I can't believe that Tyler Black has been there almost 2 years now.

That's why I knew we wouldn't see him at the Rumble, he was far from "in ring shape" at his last UFC fight. This is also why the shirt stayed on tonight.
