WWE has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Chris Masters. We wish Chris the best in all his future endeavors.
There goes Smackdown's quality.
Don't know if anyone saw or heard about this but CNN aired a "special report" last night called Death Grip. I'll post these in order if you want to watch them, start w/the top one.

Where? Through the roof?
More on Masters' release - http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/4460/105/
It looks like he was up to his fourth failure, which as noted in the CNN documentary last night, is grounds for termination. Hopefully Mordetsky can get his shit together and have a good career after this, because it's a shame to see someone basically throw his best chance at success out the window while he's still in his mid-20s.
Odds are, TNA will bring him in at some point. I can't wait for the Impact Zone fans to start chanting "you're on steroids" at him. I wonder if he'll last longer than one match in TNA (like Test), or if he'll go for a super-long run and last about a month like Rikishi. Since WWE's probably got the Masterlock name trademarked, I'm going with a TNA name of the Padlock for the move, and maybe they'll just keep his birth name and try and get away with "the Masterpiece" nickname for him. I can't wait to hear Tenay go apeshit over another ex-WWE act. After hearing Don talk about how fun Rikishi's ass was to play with at the last PPV, I'm fearful as to what he'll find enjoyable on Chris Masters' body.
Some TNA news -I'm looking forward to this match quite a bit. Tomko and Bernard are an excellent team, and the Steiners have had some good matches in TNA, and usually bring their A game to Japan. The Steiner Brothers will challenge Tomko and Giant Bernard for the IWGP Tag Team Titles at the January 4 New Japan Pro Wrestling event at the Tokyo Dome.
Here's a bit of wrestling history, Bill Watts vs. Mr. Wrestling for the NWA Georgia Heavyweight title. It's the earliest known GCW on WCTG/WTBS match on tape -

Re: Death Grip - Seeing Dynamite in his withered state with a pin sticking out his foot, living in public house, and his ex-wife admitting that she planned to kill their children and herself due to her marriage was chilling. Vince has come off horribly so far. He stated that they've said "no chair shots"... and of course, that's been violated many times, including once where they had Umaga take a barrage of them to explain his absence due to a drug failure. Seeing C.M. Punk on CNN is quite bizarre. As for the mystery guy... maybe it's Heyman.
Cena's "I won't say that I haven't done them, but you can't prove that I have." statement pretty much shoots his previous steroid denials to hell. He's the biggest draw in wrestling throughout the world, and instead of saying something that could actually help wrestling's steroid and drug problems, he goes and says this shit, which is a key reason why it's gotten so bad. Unbelievable. Pro wrestling as a whole really doesn't learn from its past mistakes very well. Maybe the current methods will extend the average life span of a wrestler to 47 instead of 42. Whoopdee doo.

TMZ's show just ran a story on Chyna - she's legally changed her name to "Chyna", and claimed that he was preventing her from being able to make a living by preventing her from using that moniker. They showed a clip of Jericho saying that Vince could just hire an assassin to kill her after apparently asking who'd win in a fight. Chyna said she wanted to come back to wrestling to kick Vince's ass, then called him a "puss".
Dyne, yeah, it's mostly his fault, and what's why it's sad - he's basically thrown his major league career away before he's hit 30. WWE didn't do him any favors by burying and mocking him when he was abiding by the wellness policy.
Edit - Thursday WO site news update - http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/....asp?aID=21259
CBS is in talks for some UFC prime time specials, Cena wants WWE.com to air the whole interview he did, and not just the single response that aired on TV, Nick Bockwinkel will be undergoing heart bypass surgery at 2 AM tomorrow morning, Moolah is mentioned in the next issue of Sports Illustrated, ECW's rating went down to a 1.2 this week, Chris Masters is already accepting indie bookings, WWE.com has an interview with Bret about the 1997 Survivor Series, while CNN.com has a transcript of Vince's entire interview (beyond what aired) of Death Grip.
.................................................................
Specials on a major broadcast network could be a huge coup for the UFC, and I hope WWE.com does show the entire Cena interview, I hope everything goes well for Bockwinkel - he's a legend, and there have been far too many deaths already this year. ECW's rating going down is a bit sad, but it shows that the gimmicky stuff for last week's Halloween Eve show worked at attracting viewers. I haven't read the WWE.com Bret or Vince CNN.com interviews, but those should be quite interesting.

Oops. The new issue of WWE Magazine hits shelves this week. Way to ruin the surprise.
Actually, this would be a shock to absolutely nobody. Also, considering the latest Save_Us video on RAW promised a return next Monday, and Break the Walls Down was prominent in it. Also, Booker and Sharmell made their "surprise" debut at TNA Genesis.

It would be really awesome if he didn't return at all and WWE just fooled everyone.

Edit - TNA has announced the GREATEST MATCH EVER!
TNA somehow found a match that made King of the Mountain and the Fight for the Right seem simplistic. I love this company for all the wrong reasons, and greatly look forward to Don and Mike commentating this, while Jim Cornette appears to suffer three heart attacks trying to explain the stipulation on Impact.TNA sent out a Mobile Alert this afternoon announcing that a "Feast or Fired" battle royal match has been added to the 12/2 Turning Point pay-per-view. The match will result in one member of the TNA roster being fired and three title shots will be awarded to various winners of the match. The match will feature four briefcases, one in each corner with three of them containing the various title shots and the other containing a pink slip.
