  1. Maria's Playboy pics have hit the web, and they're fantastic - worlds better than the horrid shoots for Candice and Ashley. Oh, and WWE.com now has a section listing TNA, ROH, and Chikara event dates and show results.

Here's the 3/2/08 NOAH match between Misawa and Morishima for the GHC Heavyweight title -

  2. Specifics in the usual place would be nice.

  3. Mayweather was absolutely brutal last night when he was jibba jabbering with Big Show and with Lawler/Ross. I'M GON BREAK YA JAW!!!!!

The crowds ever since they started this crap has booed from the very beginning. They all just wanna see Show chokeslam that fool.

Can they get rid of Adamle already? Same with the stupid Hornswoggle story.

  4. yeah that 2nd part with Mayweather seemed like it was taped ahead of time and nobody told JR and the King. he didnt even answer their questions. and apparently they had a cue card up that said:

"i broke your nose, now i'll break your jaw"
    and
"i'm willing to die, are you"?

also, why even say that "match" with the big show was an mma style match when it was no different than a regular match?

apparently WM25 is going to be in Texas where the Texans play.

also, i got the porn with Ariel and it's not good. she doesn't get screwed at all and just sits there watching Jewel D'Nyle take it with a sword. Ariel (Shelly Martinez) has bologna sized ariolas btw.

  5. Kennedy-Cena and HHH-Orton were great, with Kennedy-Cena featuring some good, hold-based sequences, while Orton-HHH had some faster-paced mat action. Cena was mostly excellent on commentary - putting his opponents over and finally making me care to see the Raw main event.

This week's Mayweather-Show stuff didn't work for me, while the previous stuff they've done did. The "mixed martial arts" exhibition went on way too long, then led to a Show-Mayweather promo exchange that was impossible to follow because they were talking over each other. Mayweather's promo later with King and J.R. was even worse, as they ended up asking questions that he didn't answer. Very sloppy.

Umaga destroying Crazy in a fabulous squash that included Crazy taking a great bump off the spinning Rock bottom, and being put over by Regal on commentary was fun. The Highlight Reel was fine - nothing spectacular, but it got the job done as far as establishing a face vs. face battle in MITB.

The Finlay-JBL stuff was great on the mic, but a bit disturbing with JBL attacking Hornswoggle, who either cowered, cried, or screamed in terror. It was effective, but perhaps a bit much, even with them not showing what was being done to Hornswoggle. However, it worked at making me want to see Finlay get revenge on JBL at 'Mania and beyond, so it was definitely an effective segment.

Holy shit was the AWA show on ESPN Classic ever a great wrestling show. It had everything - Larry Zbysko in a gi, with nunchuks and a ninja named Mr. Go who knows "the kung fu", an evil Sheik and two evil foreigners in a squash, the world champion in a showcase match, and a FUCKING AWESOME match between "Big" Scott "Magnum" Hall and "Soulja Boy" Col. DeBeers that started off hot as hell with the wrestlers just punching the hell out of each other, then concluded with perfect booking, as Hall got a visual pinfall on DeBeers via his own count, and rightfully had it won with a DQ, but the ref saw it differently, leading to DeBeers leaving with a win, but not looking like a winner. Absolutely perfect match. The Bockwinkel match wasn't all that good, but it was interesting to see him as a face, and win with the HBK leglock.

Dyne, Ariel's areolas may be big now, but they were even bigger in her pre-wrestling nude shots - they covered up the entire front of her breasts, which looked awful.

they're pretty close to that now. i used to think she was pretty hot in ECW but after seeing her naked, the charm has gone away.

I felt the same way after seeing Torrie Wilson's Playboy pics.

Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww

  8. I know I'm rehashing the Beniot thing but I found this and had to put it up.

New Jack actually has a point. For once.

  9. There's a new set of $1 wrestling DVDs at Wal-Mart. I was hoping to get the $1 IFC DVDs, but instead got Grand Masters of Wrestling: First Blood, Volume 2 (couldn't find Volume 1). It's odd to see Killer Kowalski and Baron Von Rashke advertised on the front (along with a WWF-ish RAW logo), with Devon Storm and Ace Darling on the back.

These appear to be from the '93 Maccabi show run by Jeff Bukantz, which appears to be taking place in his front lawn, and Vol 2 starts with the Baron talking about the superiority of THE BRAIN CLAW. Then Ken Patera gets presented with the Good Guy award, while wearing his singlet over a T-shirt. Tremendous.

Also, Best Buy's selling the Ultimate Fan Edition Cena, HBK, and Rey DVD sets for $13 now.

  10. Nothing like seeing Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff on tv and then watching Mike Rotundo do the airplane spin to Jillian and her two new friends.

Too bad Sheik didn't take advantage and yelled out how the Killer Bees were a bunch of faggots and how he'll humble them.
