Completely AGREE. Sean Bean is a good actor though, but still...
I will rent it when it hits dvd.
Yet another remake we don't need.

It sucks that Sean Bean is doing paycheck movies now. I hope this crap gets me a new Sharpe movie.
NO
(Kinda OT, but I figured there wouldn't really be a need to start a thread devoted solely to Sharpe)
I always thought that Sean Bean was pretty dope, but then my sister lent me the full Sharpe series recently, and it definitely took my appreciation for the guy to another level. Admittedly the show kinda becomes formulaic, but it was still so kick ass it didn't really matter. Things like Sharpe getting his sexy on with virtually every vaguely attractive woman in the show only added to Sean Bean's kick-ass-ness (Sharpe trivia: You see Elizabeth Hurley's boobies during the course of the show. Good stuff). Anyway, if you ever get the chance, give Sharpe a chance, hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
And just so that this post isn't completely off-topic: Haven't seen the original, but apparently its pretty good. Anybody seen it recently? Worth a buy on DVD? Rutger Hauer's in it, right? Can't be too bad...
Why does eveyone love Sean Bean so much? The only movies that I recall seeing him in are Equilibrium and Silent Hill, and he was completely bland and forgettable in both of them.
Dolemite, the Bad-Ass King of all Pimps and Hustlers
Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww
Don't forget he's also the guy who's ridiculously over his head in Ronin!
The original still holds up well... unfortunately the R1 release is an old crappy barebones. If you have a region free player, get the R2 two-disc set.
