iTunes Match is officially worth it for replacing any old ass mp3s you've got. I replaced 7200. Feels good.

What is it doing? Does it cost anything?

It's $25 for a yeah. It puts your music in the cloud so you have access to your entire library on your phone. It also takes any of your low bitrate mp3s that are available in the iTunes store and replaces them with 256 kbps aac files. I have 23,000 songs, so it took fucking forever to analyze and upload my non iTunes songs (which is most of them because I am so indie). Now it's downloading 7000 aac files on my shit connection.

But yeah, I like it. I bet it'll kill my battery.

Opinions on Snow Leopard vs Mountain Lion? I have the most experience with Mountain Lion. And I think ML will utilize my i7 processor a lot more than SL. Price appears to be the same. I wasn't a huge fan of ML. It felt like user experience was dolled up and the unix interface was pushed a little bit further into the background. BUT if it runs faster because it utilizes the i7 better...

Snow Leopard is old news, and Apple doesn't have much of a track record supporting old news.

Snow Leopard's going to be obsolete in a few weeks, so that means no further security updates/support/etc. Also, Xcode for 10.6 doesn't even have iOS 5 features. So.
