I also hate the mighty mouse, but mostly because the size of it is really awkward for my hand, and the scroll nub is just silly. This Logitech thing is amazing now that I've configured it. Extra buttons are delicious.

Nomi just gets more awesome every day.l

The most "comfortable" way to use them is to just only use your fingers. Like hunch your hand awkwardly over the mouse with only your fingers touching it like you've just been horribly mangled.

Someone really fucked that up.

That's actually how I always use a mouse.

My apple bitch.
So my macbook has had problems.
Flickery screen that took them 1 year to admit was the power inverter which i told them about 11 months ago. Broken palm rest, the magnets in the lip close it too hard and cracked it. Screen came to me with abrasions in it.

All fixed under warranty... yay
Now the fan is making noise after they return it. I'm like fix pls! they're all OKAY!

Fan comes back, start making noise (clicky like it was rubbing against something)when i take it home. I take it back and i say FIX PLS!
They're like... welllll you ran this fan control program and it voided part of your warranty. I was like FIX! And they agreed to replace the fan, once they got another in, but said it could be the fan logic board or something like that (SMC board). Which would mean replacing the entire mobo, at cost to me. (lots of money)

Meanwhile I take mine home, lay on my side like i ususally do to read some manga (turn the mac to the side with me) and wait... its not clicking. Turn it upside down no clicks.

The fuckers over tightened the screws, 1 half twist later, its fixed... except the lid where the magnets hit the palmrest, this time on the screen's side. They're fixing that for free too.

So far replaced
Power inverter
Cord for that
Entire kb panel and palmrest
1 Screen
1 Fan set

Yay extended warranty.
Would not buy again.

Also: Logitech makes hte best mice evar. The end.

I had one of those MS ones, right before my logitech one, was a good mouse but I have since moved on.

Sounds like bad luck MarsKitten. I had a motherboard die on a G3 iMac, and they gave me a new machine that was better than the one I paid for within 10 days. A speaker died on my G4 iMac so they gave me a new set. An iPod had a loose dock, so they gave me a new and better model. A Mini didn't hold it's charge anymore so they gave us the price value in Apple coupons so we could buy a nano for my stepsister. My Macbook's power supply got bent and burned through so I couldn't charge it anymore, and they handed me a new brick+cord in store when I went up.

They've been amazing to me.

Yeah i've been told i'm a hard luck case. I'm really getting pissed at the clicking problem, if i put my hand on the bottom of the case, about center, it goes away. If i turn it to the side it goes away, upside down, goes away, if i just keep it in my lap, no clicking.

Those are indeed the worst mice ever manufactured. I'm all for Apple being quirky and different but their attempts at being "innovative" are just lost on thier mice (aside from scroll ball if it worked better). They also need to put a fucking DVD drive eject button on the G5 case.

I find the best way to use them is to utilize their small profile by jamming them up the ass of anyone who hasn't replaced theirs with a 5 dollar optical PC mouse.

I have one in black, and I fucking love them. MS got it right with the Optical Wheel Mouse. I have and enjoy Logitech mice too, but I always go back to my MS.
