  1. I put off getting one of these and I'm glad I did. Three hundred for the high end model sounds much better than six hundred, and a lot of the annoyances from the first model seem to have been addressed.

    If I had a first model iphone I can see how the announcement is disappointing enough not to upgrade, but it's perfect for me.

  2. Josh, if I remember, the cheapest iPhone plan right now is 60 a month, which includes unlimited data. Could always change though with this new model. I had read hearsay (but only hearsay) that plan pricing would pretty much stay where it is.

  4. I'm pumped about this announcement. It's exactly why I have waited on getting the iPhone, and now it's at a ridiculously awesome price with all of the features I wanted built into it (besides AIM). I just wish it came out sooner since I really need a new phone. My phone is all sorts of fucked up.

    Also, I HIGHLY doubt AT&T will raise the price of the plans just because of 3g. There are plenty of 3g phones out there, and prices aren't increased for those, so there's no reason it would be raised just because the iPhone has 3g.

    I don't know if that's good or bad, but here in canada Rogers will have the iphone so if I ever buy one I look forward to my triple digit monthly bill
