Applecare on a Ipod is a waste of money.

So, I'm getting one of these iPod things. Probably 80 GB White.

For those who've experience, is the AppleCare worth it, or is this thing going to kick the bucket immediately after the plan is over? More important question... for car play, the only FM transmitter I've heard good quality from is (sadly) Monster's. The iTrip sucks, from what I recall. Is there another similar in quality, but short on Monster?

save up and get a head unit with aux-in and usb connection. that way you can use the ipod without worrying about getting a clean station and have the aux-in for anybody's non-ipod device.

anybody know if the refurb touch's from the Apple site have the software upgrade stores charge $30 for? doesn't seem to specify anywhere.

josh, we are lucky we updated to 2.0 yesterday.

Seems iTunes activation servers are down, and 3g owners are leaving stores with non-activated phones. On top of that, OG owners who are updating to 2.0 cant get their phones reactivated because, yes, the server is down.

I finally got around to getting my Itunes setup with my library and didn't like how I had to associate a credit card with the Itunes store just to easily grab the few missing album arts i had. I'll never buy anything from the store and don't like my cc info places it doesn't need to be but whatever. 7.7 seems to run a lot better in Vista x64.

So I finally got around to maxing out the RAM on my oldish MacBook Pro. 10.5 already felt ridiculously fast after running Vista for so many months, but everything is even snappier now. I'm just amazed at how simple they made it. Last computers I had prior to this were a late series G3 PowerBook and a G4 TiBook, and I always hated the keyboard removing crap. 3 screws under the battery, that's all there was to it. Between this and the blindingly fast shipping from NewEgg, I am very pleased!

I'm updating Itunes now and bout to get 2.0 for my phone YAY. Yall got me excited with the new app pics. bbl need to reboot.

Apparently the remote application is the truth, however I don't have a use for it.
