I don't know, I never worried about death back in school. We had a couple fights back in like the 8th/9th grade as people started going throgh puberity and losing their mind, etc, etc.

And we didn't really have a lot of drugs, though we do have a lot of adults in the area that pop pills and do meth. But a lot of kids are boozers and there awas a handful that smoked pot.

From what I've been told, the south is apparently a great place to bring up your kids if you are worried about their safety. But whatever, south teach you to be dumb and all that =/

In my highschool, it seemed that everyone started smoking pot. I'd wager that 95% of the school was smoking pot, even the dorky kids. I'll contribute that to the fact that there were not many fights during my time in high school. I can only recall three fights.
