I liked Innerspace. Sorry for being the masses for years, in which most of the remakes are made for.
its just hit me ... sure it would probably suck and people here in TNL would riot. But Blade Runner could fit this criteria. Not for sheer effects or story, but since the movie was more of a cult classic. More people now know of it due to the Net and word of mouth. But now the movie has a dated look ... due to the SFX back in the day.
Another movie that had a sequel is FX. This movie would be good due to what the plot revolved around. Special Effect director gets caught in a murder case and has to get out.

Any movie can be remade with sufficient talent and reasoning behind it. Hell, even Ben-Hur got two versions, and they're both classics.
That's exactly right. A bunch of remakes are really good and better known, Maltese Falcon, the second Man Who Knew Too Much, the Thing, hell I thought the new King Kong was really good. Shitty movies are always going to be pumped out, the problem with shitty remakes is that they fuck with the status of the good (or bad) movie that they are remaking and skewing the public's opinion of it. My problem isn't so much of trying to re-imagine a film and getting right, but just doing it for the cash-in and name recognition then doing a piss-poor job of it just makes me angry.
I dunno, Jimmy Stewart does a pretty good job at being insane and scary in Vertigo, and I think Fonda was pretty good in Once Upon A Time in the West was pretty good too. I actually like it quite a lot when a typecasted actor breaks form and does a good job at it.
