Nah, I'm in the same boat. I saw the Bioshock walkthrough, thought the visuals just looked okay for next gen, but certainly not spectacular. Watched the AI routines and thought well okay, I guess that's got a bunch of steps to it, but so what?

Might end up being the best game of all time or something, but didn't grab me either. I can't help but wonder if people are more excited by Bioshock's pedigree than what's been shown of the game itself.

I am.

I've barely seen media for Bioshock, actually, and have been pretty much intentionally avoiding it. I'm willing to be that if it's as good as Irrational's last FPS-RPG hybrid, it will probably be better than any game this year, hands down. SWAT 4 being as amazing as it was doesn't hurt my confidence, either.

I also fit that category, and I agree with Tain's apporach of avoiding information and purchasing on blind faith. I've put trust in a lot worse developers. That's for sure.

MGS4 - Part three was the best singleplayer experience last gen so I have big hopes.

Virtua Fighter 5 - I'm finally gonna get to use my über expensive stick, I'm forsing myself on how to use one for the first time in my life. Also found a guy to play against in my town (originally from the internet lol), march can't come fast enough.

DMC4 - While not a big fan of Capcoms latest outings (haven't played Okami) I know they can deliver and hopefully they will with all the competition they got going.

Armored Core 4 - "march can't come fast enough"

Halo 3 - My back is gonna hurt from moving tv's around all the time later this year.

* Virtua Fighter 5
* Raiden IV (there will be a home version, I'm sure)
* King of Fighters XII
* Half-Life II (360)
* Whatever G.Rev's next game is

2012 is going to be awesome.

It's already been here since Dreamcast, and it IS awesome.
