Thread: Nkyo Wii Charge Station vs. Joytech Wii Charging Dock

  1. I buy all my rechargeables from www.batteryspace.com

    Cheap, and works well.

I know that neither Nyko or Joytech's charge dock/stations are out yet. I was just hoping that another Wii owner might have found out something about them that I hadn't.

In that same GBA, some 2500 mAh NiMH rechargables (that cost 5 bucks for a 4 pack) last FOREVER. That's what I use in my Wiimotes now.

No real reason to buy a proprietary charger for any of the consoles.
Thanks for the advice. I already have some Duracell rechargeable NiMH's with a 15-minute charger. Probably the same ones that you got, MarkRyan. The charger is pretty sweet because not only is it fast, it came with 4 good size rechargeables (2400 maH).
I guess I'll have to hold off on getting one or the other until after the first slew of Wii-natics test them and give thumbs up or thumbs down reviews. I just wanted to pre-empt the "Sold-Out"/"Out of Stock" signs.

  3. 1) Sell your Wii
    2) Buy both chargers
    3) See which one is better

I'd get any rechargable AA's that are made to work with digital cameras. I generally use Digital Concepts batteries from Walmart. They are a cheap generic, but they can actually power a Turbo Express longer than standard alkalines. A Turbo "batteries don't last long enough to be able to beat Bonk" Express.

I get mine from www.thomasdistributing.com. I buy the POWEREX batteries and are damn great and for a great price. Shipping is superb as well.

Hopefully, I can get a response from them.

So are you or Spo the bitch in the relationship?

  8. Eh, it's give and take.

  9. Your turn to wear the wig pookey......

As for the chargers, get the Energizer 15 minute charger w/ 4 AA rechargeables for $27.99 (or the travel charger w/4 AA's for $10 at Target). You can buy extra 4-packs whenever you need more; I'm currently powering 2 Wiimotes and 2 360 controllers on rechargeable AA's for a grand total of $20 (travel charger w/4 AA's plus an extra 4 pack for $10 at Walmart).
