Thread: Ghostbusters - Bustin Makes Me Feel Good!

    The Bad:

The game feels rushed in some areas. There have been a lot of comments about how Bill has lost his touch on other sites. Or that he doesn't care about the project.

I don't really agree with that. The real problem I believe is that the in game dialog is mishandled. No care was taken to frame the shots of the team talking in the same fashion as the movies. Secondly, someone completely dropped the ball on animating the in game talking. They don't even bother to make mouths and words match up 75% of the time.

This really hurts the humor of some characters as body language and delivery is a noticeable part of many of the jokes in the GB movies.

Totally dropped the ball on multiplayer. It could be fun, but I wouldn't know, as the PS3 version only has online multi. No split screen for a quick game with friends is bullshit. Secondly, the co-op mode is only two players. Again, bullshit. And I've heard the PC version has zero multi of any kind.

the love story in the game sucks.

As I said above, I think the game was rushed. Perhaps they did it to get it out when the bluray was released, or because they did not want to put any more money into it. I think someone at Atari knew about these problems as they kept the multiplayer on the down low until a few days ago. Shame on you Atari

But I wouldn't let these problems keep you from buying it. They are pretty minor compared to the rest of the game.

And to address some stuff talked about ealier.

The whole "phozon dart" thing isn't as bad as originally thought. He might say it 10 times in the whole game. Everyone has a ton of crap to say.

Sadly, no cheesy 80s RnB or rap songs. But they don't over play the main theme either. They use the original soundtrack of the movie. Some reviewers online have complained about it not being enough to cover the whole game, but I didn't see a problem.

  3. Not having a Co-op campaign is the only problem I had with the game, other than that I loved everything about it and it is my new number one favorite game......for now at least.

I played it the whole way through and only took a few minor breaks in between, if anyone wants to play online stuff get at me cause I hate playing with Random people

  4. I have it on PS3, and every time I tried to get into a game, they'd all leave because I was just starting out. Anyone out there have the PS3 version and want to play multi?

    yeah. Maybe friday

  6. The lip syncing is off, but I think the animations are good overall and capture a lot of the mannerisms of the actors. And I'm not sure why anyone's complaining about Bill Murray phoning it in, if that's what you meant. Murray made me laugh out loud several times already with his delivery. I love this game (playing on the PC).

I'm not complaining. Just commenting on something I saw on every review of this game.

  8. I know. By "anyone," I meant anyone. Anyway, it's nice to be surprised in a good way by a game.
