I watched the first episode today. No idea what was going on. I can tell it's building to something, but as an opener it didn't really capture my attention.

The first episode is okay, with all the build up/anticipation, it is definitely not as enjoyable as I thought. The direwolves are cute and cuddly, I am curious to see how they grow up. I hope they are not CGI monstrosities.
Caitlyn looks bad. I imagined her to be younger/prettier.

I actually do have HBO right now, we just got DirectTV and it came with three or four free months.
It hardly seems worth what it would cost to keep it.
Deluxe Accoutrements
Caitlyn is the mother figure of the whole series, and looks the part. We just tend to idealize our mental image of book characters that we root for. If she were younger/more attractive, she'd look more like one the older boys' wives than Eddard's.
Robb looks like a douche, however. I guess he sort of is a douche though.
Kind of too violent for me, but I guess all the boobs balances it out.
It seems pretty cool. I really don't like how that blond prince boy looks, what a little twerp.
