Camera hangs on Sansa as this realization sets in, and then in the next scene she's blatantly getting rid of Brienne, telling her to GTFO to King's Landing.

What's the deal there? They framed it like Arya was the one antagonizing, but this is Sansa plotting some violence, or what?

Or is it Arya impersonating Sansa? (I forget, can she only do this to people she's killed?)

Not sure what this is setting up but it does seem like those dots are meant to be connected.
Arya has to take the person's face to impersonate them.

That scene was Littlefinger manipulating Sansa - or, perhaps, Sansa letting him think he's manipulating her. My guess is that LF realized he could either get rid of Brienne or use her to deal with Arya. At this point, the only way to "outmaneuver" him is to kill him (and maybe lose the Vale but maybe not since Royce doesn't like him).

I think Arya knows Littlefinger is trying to play her. and she already got over her initial anger of the letter. And in a kind of subtle way is telling Sansa, "hey i could be you if i had your face.....or i could be littlefinger if i had his". All Sansa has to do is give Arya permission to off littlefinger and boom. they have the Vail. Ayra cant just kill someone and take their face without a contract of some sort. so im thinking this is her way of getting permission.

  3. The Arya/Sansa conflict is dumb. This theory is the only logical way to look at it, but it is still dumb.

    That works I suppose, yeah.

What didn't make sense to me was why, if there was a legitimate conflict between the two, Sansa would immediately send Brienne away after realizing she'd keep the peace. If Sansa was nervous about Arya then she'd want Brienne around and close, like Littlefinger suggested.

I guess the theory that they're both making a show of it would explain blatantly dismissing Brienne though.

  5. They released pictures and both the Mountain and the Hound will be in the Dragon Pit. SO MUCH HYPE.

In all seriousness, here's my wishlist for Sunday:

    - At least show the Night King considering going south, even if he decides against it. Even if the last shot of him is atop Viserion, and Viserion is on the wall like that fan-made poster. OR send one of the lieutenants on Viserion. The fine corner they've written themselves into is that now the Night King has to be tricked. Otherwise, if he flies into a trap, how didn't he see the trap? I do not envy what the writers have done to themselves.

    - If they bring the Night King (or someone else) south, show Cersei actively bringing the Scorpion to the meeting. This provides an opportunity for Jon or someone to fit the bolts with dragonglass. This allows the Chekhov that Tyrion's been hanging (arrows being fired at a person on a dragon) to fire.

    - I don't care who "wins" the Winterfell triangle, truly. Obviously, I'd like my boy to come out on top but the odds are against him with Bran there. As long as the win is plausible and the girls weren't secretly plotting off screen, I'll be fine with them taking out Littlefinger and having Arya wear his face. If he prevails, I'll be fine with Bran having let him win and him having been a pawn of the 3ER all along.

    - Whatever Cersei's plot is, it's successful. Her and Dany have parallel rollercoasters. Power! Hardly any power. Power! Hardly any power. Right now she's in the "hardly any power" zone and needs to get back there.

What I'd really love, though, is that the NK does take advantage of his opportunity. He flies south, takes out the majors: Jon/Dany/Cersei. One of the people who knows about the Wildfire under the Dragon Pit ignites it after NK lands. Show some of the auxiliary characters trying to pick up the pieces. End of series. Take that, Red Wedding.

  6. Okay I finally watched last Sunday's ep. That was dumb as bricks. Soooo fan fiction. Even the dragon stuff was like, really? Why did Jon suddenly go head over heels? Like, what exactly changed in his trajectory that would cause him to get lovey dovey? It just seemed very Mary Sue. Which....Danny is a Mary Sue, but we sort of left that behind a few seasons ago.

    Sansa: dang, arya is mad

Littlefinger: it would be a shame if something....happened

  7. Jon has been eye fucking her since they met.

  8. Tru, but he's very standoffish and awkward, then all of a sudden he's Mr. holding hands? Maybe he realized he kinda fucked up with You Know Nothing Jon Snow and figured he'd better seize the moment.

  9. That scene where Tormund comments about the king above the wall getting thousands killed because of his pride is where the decision is planted. Having the queen come swooping in and save them from certain death and worse with dragons is when the final choice is made. Snow never wanted to be King, he wanted what was best for the people of the north. And he feels at this moment that Khaleesi is best for them.

  10. Why are people rooting for Aunt/Nephew incest to happen? Why hasn't Bran told anyone about this revelation? Where did the Night King get MASSIVE CHAINS from? The most fan fictiony moment of the whole last episode was "A wild uncle Benjen appears" - what?! Arya HAS to take Littlefinger's face, it's the only thing that wouldn't cause worldwide table flipping.
